Examine the first dialogue between the two waiters, considering what they say and how they say it. How does it establish the dif
soldier1979 [14.2K]

Answer:

Basically in the short story, there is a significance difference in the perception of life according to age and company some or loneliness for others.

Explanation:

In the short story <em>A Clean, Well-Lighted Place</em> written by the famous author Ernest Hemingway, during the conversation of two waiters it is possible to notice the great breach between the perception of two different generations. While the young waiter complains about staying late at work, and about the last customer that comes to the cafe always waiting until the last minute the cafe offers his services, he feels anxious about arriving home soon to see his wife. The older waiter perfectly understands and feels identified with the  customer, due to the fact that at his age, there is a feeling of loneliness in which it is very important and comforting to find <em>A Clean, Well-Lighted Place. </em>After the cafe closes, he does not want to go home running like the young guy because there he knows, he will find an empty space and and his insomnia is also waiting.

Which choice shows that "The Story of Snow" is an expository text?
madreJ [45]

Answer:

B. It contains the scientific information about how snow forms.

Explanation:

Expository texts/ essays are those works of literature that details the scientific and detailed background of the topic or subject. It also requires the student or readers to work out on their own the many different questions that will arise from the text, making them a part of the experience. After this questioning, they also have to keep on trying to find the evidence of that such event, and bring an argument for it. This process is more like a science experiment where the students are made to work out the solution, find evidence or proof and then make argument about that experiment.

Thus, <em>"The Story of Snow"</em> by Mark Cassino and Jon Nelson can be taken/ labeled as an expository text for it contains the scientific information about how snow form. Not only that, it also provides pictures and images of the various snowflakes and also provides answers to the many questions regarding snow.

What is the most likely effect of too much type on one slide during a presentation?
fiasKO [112]

The most likely effect of too much type on one slide during a presentation is the following: Answer A. The audience will stop listening to the presenter in order to read the slide. It's commonly know that the 70 % of the people in the world are visual learners. The auditory ability in them is about the 20 % to the 30 % of the total. If you want them to listen to you should show them just a few highlights about the theme you are talking about, just for them to focus on the subject, or you just let them read instead of continue talking otherwise you will distract them with your speech.
