The XYZ Affair was a political and diplomatic episode in 1797 and 1798, early in the administration of John Adams, involving a confrontation between the United States and Republican France that led to an undeclared war called the Quasi-War.

Pres. John Adams dispatched three ministers to France in 1797 to negotiate a commercial agreement to protect U.S. shipping. In Paris the ministers were approached by three French agents who suggested a bribe of $250,000 to Talleyrand, the French foreign minister, and a loan of $10,000,000 to France as a prelude to negotiations. In April 1798 the machinations of the three French agents (called X, Y, and Z in the diplomatic correspondence) were made public in the United States. There was a great outcry over the bribe solicitation, followed by preparations for war. Although a period of undeclared naval warfare ensued between France and the United States formal war was avoided, and the incident was settled by the Convention of 1800.

Which diagram most effectively show how a voter influenced policy? Answer C
bagirrra123 [75]

The correct option is C

Political parties are fundamental pieces for political plurality. In modern democracies, parties have become the gears of political conflict, generate it, contain it and, as the case may be, solve it. The opportunities for electoral participation have been framed by the decision of the parties and, to this extent, questions such as political culture depend on the perception of the citizenship on the partisan environment. We also see that after choosing representatives of the people, a very important tool that people have is to write to them or show their inclinations to certain projects by different trucks, such as a letter, a note in a newspaper or magazine or through internet pages.
