An oligarchy government is a few people ruling vs a republic, which is majority vote along with your inalienable rights still kept. They role may be different in how goods are made because in a republic, the citizens, so everyone have a say instead of the few people. The few people probably don't care as much as for themselves, versus the actually people voting. What I am trying to say here is... the few people ruling in the oligarchy would be bias and give themselves more and not care as much as the people, espically with goods. They would make special things for themselves, and not very good things for the people. Maybe even price it higher so they, the rulers, can get more money. But, in the republic, the people would care for themselves as well since they are voting together, they would vote for lower prices and higher quality things, for themselves.

I hope this makes sense, it is a bit confusing. Contact me if you need more help. <3

In this scenario, it can be said that Bob is in the control group of the experiment. In an experiment, the control group is the group that does not receive the variable that is being tested and instead receives a placebo that does not have any effect on the test subject, thus allowing the researchers to control the outcome of that group and compare it with the other groups. Which in this case the variable being tested is Ritalin.
