Exposition and or setting actually establish the characters, time, place, and details in every beginning of a story. This actually helps so that way later on in the story when they start to talk about a character it gives you an idea on what the character might look like based on what is already explained in the exposition. I hope this helps!:)

The correct answer is A) It shows how the character reacts to or interact with their surroundings.

The setting role in helping to establish characterization in a story is that it shows how the character reacts to or interact with their surroundings.

When we talk about setting it refers to the place and time of the story. If the story is in a city, the country, in the present time, during a historical moment, and more. So with the setting, we can understand more about the character, its role in the story, the interaction with people, place, time, and events.

The other options of the question were B) it shows past events that happened in the story’s location. C) it shows the historical events that have influenced the setting. D) It shows the articles of clothing common to the setting

Which correctly identifies the verb and its mood in this sentence? It has been raining for seven hours. A) Verb: has Mood: indic
Trava [24]

D) Verb: has been raining Mood: indicative

The entire verb phrase is "has been raining". "Has" and "been" are both helping verbs that create the present progressive tense. This tense is used to show something that is happening and has been happening for a period of time. The indicative mood is correct because the indicative mood indicates something that fact. Interrogative mood is question form. Conditional form is based on something else happening.
