Persuasive requests are generally more effective when they are written using the indirect strategy.

An indirect strategy is not exactly direct but they are slowly persuading and being straight forward about the message with their consumers. Persuasive request are more effective when written you are being forward about the request but not overly pushy like a direct strategy would be.

Answer:

when sea transportation is used:

safety stock = Z-score x √lead time x standard deviation of demand

  • Z-score for 99% = 2.58
  • lead time = 36 days
  • standard deviation of demand = 4,000 units

safety stock = 2.58 x √36 x 4,000 units = 61,920 units

reorder point = lead time demand + safety stock

  • lead time demand = 36 days x 5,000 units = 180,000 units
  • safety stock = 61,920

reorder point = 180,000 units + 61,920 units = 241,920 units

when air transportation is used:

safety stock = Z-score x √lead time x standard deviation of demand

  • Z-score for 99% = 2.58
  • lead time = 4 days
  • standard deviation of demand = 4,000 units

safety stock = 2.58 x √4 x 4,000 units = 20,640 units

reorder point = lead time demand + safety stock

  • lead time demand = 4 days x 5,000 units = 20,000 units
  • safety stock = 20,640

reorder point = 20,000 units + 20,640 units = 40,640 units

Furkat [3]

She is engaging in Bottom-up Forecasting.

What is Bottom-Up Forecasting?

Bottom-up forecasting is a high-level prediction of micro-level inputs to estimate revenue for a particular year or group of years. Revenue teams, for example, frequently utilize this strategy to forecast the company's future performance based on individual sales or rep performance.

Bottom-up forecasting is analogous to assessing the health of a complicated system, such as a vehicle, by examining its most fundamental components, such as its engine components.

The essential distinction between top-down and bottom-up methodologies is the perspective used to conduct your analysis. Bottom-up forecasting is excellent for assessing the impact of certain performance measures on revenue. However, in order to truly grasp the health of a complicated firm, we must examine it from several perspectives.

In a top-down study, we estimate aggregate demand. This style of evaluation considers past performance to forecast future performance.

Therefore, Katherine is developing a forecast for her company's next year's sales of organic fertilizer to retail gardening nurseries. she is assembling the sales estimates for her company's product by adding together the territory estimates provided by her salespeople. she is engaging in Bottom-Up forecasting.

Purchases *16,800

Requisitions 18,400

We solve for purchases:

6,600 + 18,400 - 8,200 = 16,800

WIP Inventory

Beginning 7,700

Materials 18,400

Labor 13,700

Overhead 8,200

Transferred Out 39,700*

Ending 8,300

The transferred-out from WIP inventory is the transferred-in for Finished Goods
