An after school dance program has a total of 27 students.Two thirds of the dance student are Girls.How Many girls are in the program? How many boys? what fraction of the class are boys?

18 are girls, 9 are boys l, and the fraction is 1/3

So the total is 27
so to find how many girls there are u have to do 2/3 of 27 to do this u have to do 27 ÷ 3 which is 9.
Then because the numerator is greater than 1 you have to do 9 x 2 which is 18.
So now that u know the girl students u need to do 27-18 which is 9. That means that there are 9 boy students.
To find the fraction u need to:
u now it is out of 27 so it will be 9/27
but u will have to simplify to 1/3.
