The impact that location of resources has on countries and their economies around the globe is that of supply and demand. If a country is lacking in a resource, let's say steel, yet the demand for steel in that country is high then the economies cycle breaks and the government must spend more money to have the product imported in. They have to do this in order to keep the process of supply and demand, if there is no steel, then there is no demand and this part of the economy crumbles.

<span>In Roman society, the aristocrats were known as patricians. The highest positions in the government were held by two consuls, or leaders, who ruled the  Roman Republic. A senate composed of patricians elected these consuls. At this time, lower-class citizens, or plebeians, had virtually no say in the government.

Sherman Antitrust Act of 1890 was the first major piece of legislation against monopolies. The goal was to keep things competitive. They were trying to keep prices from rising due to a company or group of companies purposely withholding stock or goods to create an artificially high demand for a product and causing the price to rise.
