Plan B becuase if you multiply 2 by 8 visits you get 16, and then add 15 down for that and you get 31. So 31 is less than 35 and that will be the better deal.

Plan A : $ 35 per month , unlimited visits
Plan B : $ 15 + 2x....x being the number of visits

so Plan A will cost $ 35 for 8 visits
Plan B will cost : 15 + 2(8) = 15 + 16 = $ 31

so Plan B will be cheaper for 8 visits....and that will cost her $ 31

I believe I have to calculate the area of the shape. I'll do that.

Answer:

Total area = 23.04 square m

Step-by-step explanation:

Area of a compound shape

The shape shown in the figure can be divided into two smaller rectangles. We need to find their dimensions.

The single tick in the 2 m side indicates the other side also measures 2 m. This means the width of one of the smaller rectangles is 5.2m - 2 m = 3.2 m

The double tick in the 5.2 m also indicates the length of that smaller rectangle is 5.2 m. Thus the two rectangles have their respective areas as:

A1 = 5.2 m * 3.2 m = 16.64 square m

A2 = 2 m * 3.2 m = 6.4 square m

The total area is:

At = 16.64 square m + 6.4 square m = 23.04 square m

Total area = 23.04 square m

Use the zero product property to find the solitions to the equation(x+2)(x+3)=12.
kykrilka [37]

Answer:

(x + 2) (x + 3) = x² + 3x + 2x + 6 = 12 (multiply the binomials)

(x + 2) (x + 3) = x² + 5x + 6 = 12

(x + 2) (x + 3) = x² + 5x + 6-12 = 0 (add the like term and bring the positive 12 to the other side which makes it negative)

x² + 5x + 6 = 0

Using the snowflake method - (finding the factors of 6 that adds/subtracts to give you 5).

This method will give you the factors (x + 6)(x - 1)

ZERO PROPERTY RULE:

(x + 6) = 0

x = -6

(x - 1) = 0

x = 1

The two solutions to the equation are -6 and 1.
