Answer:

Strategy will include finding raw materials and locating production wherever it is most profitable to do so ,

The corporate structure will integrate the activities of foreign affiliates and

She and her colleagues will cultivate a global perspective and view the entire world as one market

Explanation:

It is due to the fact that a multinational company would have to locate the company, country or location where it can derive, obtain and purchase the raw materials at the lowest price possible and even consider it worthwhile as something that will profit them more if they can establish themselves as an organisation, business or company in that place where the raw materials are obtained at the cheapest amount. She will carefully study the activities of the foreign company and on careful observation she would perceive global economy as a singular market and would sought the best means to organise the regulation of the business.

What notation, if any, is made in a formal business letter that contains additional documents in the envelope?
Viktor [21]

Answer:

The notation that is made in a formal business letter that contains additional documents in the envelope is:

“Enc.” or “Att.”

Explanation:

"Enc." means "Enclosures," while "Att." means "Attention."  These notations draw the attention of the letter recipient to the fact that there are other documents that may be accompanying the business letter.  The plural form of the word "Enclosures" is regularly used with the number of enclosures indicated.  But if it is one document, then the word "Enclosure" is preferred, indicating that the document is not more than one.  When "Attention" or "Att." is used, the documents are listed.

Why do you think an entrepreneur might choose to keep a business small rather than expand it?
SpyIntel [72]

Answer:

Growing a business is very difficult

Explanation:

There are a lot of factors that influence business growth, a large one is the amount of time and money an owner can devote to it. Growing a business is hard - an owner may need to hire more people, find more space, buy more inventory, market to more customers, and all these activities take time and money. A lot of small business are successful because they operate in a niche, e.g. a restaurant located across the street from a factory will get customers before and after the shifts, but if the owner opened a second location in a strip mall with other restaurants nearby they need to find an entirley different customer base that already is being served. Some small businesses, e.g. candle maker at a farmers market, started as hobbies for the owner that turned into a business, but the owner can't afford to quit their day job and make candles full time. Growning a business in some ways is a lot harder than starting one.

(in millions) 2017 2016 Average common stockholders’ equity $2,825 $2,925 Dividends declared for common stockholders 335 630 Div
Greeley [361]

Answer:

a) Payout ratio for common stock:

= 0.60 or 60% for 2017

= 0.98 or 98% for 2016

b) Return on Common Stockholders' Equity

2017 = 19.82%

2016 = 21.88%

Explanation:

a) Data and Calculations:

                                                                    (in millions) 2017       2016

Average common stockholders’ equity                    $2,825    $2,925

Net income                                                                      605          685

Dividends declared for preferred stockholders              45            45

Net income available for common stockholders          560         640

Dividends declared for common stockholders             335         630

Payout ratio for common stock:

= Dividends per share/Earnings per share

Dividends / Earnings for common stockholders

= $335/$560 = 0.60 for 2017

= $630/$640 = 0.98 for 2016

Return on common stockholders' equity:

= Earnings after preferred stock/Common Stockholders' Equity

2017 = $560/$2,825

= 0.1982

= 19.82%

2016 = $640/$2,925

= 0.2188

= 21.88%
