Answer and Explanation:

Some pathogens and pests usually survive and reproduce even when they are exposed to the antibiotics and pesticides repeatedly. These instances show that within the population soe individuals possess the gene for resistance or acquire it through mutation hence survives the chemical. Those that survive transmit this characteristic to their offsprings thus establishing a new population of resistant forms.

Antibiotic resistance in bacteria provides evidence that supports Darwin’s theory of evolution.

Explanation:

Darwin’s theory of evolution mentions about the theory of natural selection by which the nature selects the fittest individuals. It is always the survival of the fittest that takes place in any ecosystem. If there is an external pressure or threat , the organisms that have evolved to overcome this only gets the chance of survival.

Antibiotic resistance that some bacteria show is an example of natural selection. In the initial periods many bacteria would have died out due to the action of antibiotics. In the process of evolution a mutation might have occurred that confers the bacteria resistance to antibiotics.

The process of natural selection allows the bacteria with this mutation offering antibiotic resistance to survive. Since this is a mutation ensuring survival the mutant gene would have been passed over generation producing a species of antibiotic resistant bacteria.

What do scientist use trilobites as proof of
kirill [66]

Answer:

Explanation:

Because they appeared quickly in geological time, and moulted like other arthropods, trilobites serve as excellent index fossils, enabling geologists to date the age of the rocks in which they are found. They were among the first fossils to attract widespread attention, and new species are being discovered every year.

All plants are autotrophic.

Only bacteria, protista and yeast are unicellular. Rest all the organisms are multicellular. Thus option 2 is true.

Only bacteria are prokaryotic, rest all organisms are eukaryotic, including all the plants. Option 3 is true.

Plants are the only organisms which are autotrophic. Although apart from this mode of nutrition, plants can be parasitic or carnivorous as well. But primarily they all are autotrophic. Option 4 is true

Not all plants need sunlight, some get energy from the chemical substances from their surroundings. Option 5 is False.

Plants reproduce by sexual as well as asexual means. Not all plants reproduce sexually. Option 6 is false.

In agranulocytes, what happens to the cytoplasm as the cell ages?
pishuonlain [190]

Answer:

As the cell ages the volume of cytoplasm increases, enzymes that synthesize DNA move from the nucleus to the cytoplasm, and there is a gradual build up of lipofuscin. While it is unclear how this directly affects the cell, it is known that once the DNA migrates from the nucleus it is unable to synthesizes enzymes.
