Answer:

The best option is A) He used to have some strong sense of belonging in his family.

Explanation:

Ebenezer Scrooge is the main character in Charles Dickens' A Christmas Carol. He is an old grumpy man who seems to hate everyone and everything around him. Not even Christmas time seems to be able to warm his heart.

Scrooge is visited by three spirits who show him his own history, always with visions related to Christmas. In the excerpt we are analyzing here, Fan, Scrooge's sister is the family member who gives him a sense of belonging. Even though his own father is usually a tough man to deal with, Fan makes Scrooge happy by telling him they are going home together, and he treats her with kindness.

OlgaM077 [116]
This can be looked at in two ways. It can be looked at as an answer, "Where is the tree." "Over the Cracks in the sidewalks", or it can be looked at as a sentence standing alone which is what I believe is happening.

It is A.) Sentance fragment
