A student has drawn an enlarged portion of a dna "ladder" model to show two of the nucleotides in greater detail (in the same or

ientation as they would occur in the ladder model). Which two nucleotides did the student draw?

The student either drew the base-pairing showing adenine and thymine or guanine pairing with cytosine.

Further Explanation:

The nucleic acid makes the DNA. The nucleic acid is made up of nucleotides. Each nucleotide is made up of a phosphate group, deoxyribose, and a nitrogenous base. Gene is defined as the linear sequence of the nucleotides that are mainly encoded for a protein having a particular function. The alleles are defined as the variant type of the gene. DNA is mainly made up of the nucleotides and also contains genetic information in the genes. DNA has mainly four different types of a nitrogenous base

 • Adenine
 • Cytosine
 • Thymine
 • Guanine

The nitrogenous bases are divided into two groups called the pyrimidines and the purines. The pyrimidines include the thymine and cytosine; the purines are adenine and guanine. The nitrogenous bases in the double helix are bound together according to the base-pairing rule—adenine pairs with thymine (A-T) and guanine pairs with cytosine (G-C). The student either drew the base-pairing showing adenine and thymine or guanine pairing with cytosine.

A DNA molecule consists of two stands of nucleotides that wind around each other like a twisted ladder with a phosphate and sugar backbone. The nitrogenous bases are divided into two groups called the pyrimidines and the purines. The pyrimidines include the thymine and cytosine, the purines are adenine and guanine. The nitrogenous bases in the double helix are bound together according to the base pairing rule. Adenine pairs with thymine (A-T) and guanine pairs with cytosine (G-C). The student either drew the base pairing showing adenine and thymine or guanine pairing with cytosine.

Ou just read an article on the Endosymbiotic Theory. Based on what you read, what is the importance of the Endosymbiotic Theory?
VikaD [51]

Answer: The endosymbiotic theory suggests that eukaryotic organisms evolve from primitive prokaryotic organisms.

Explanation:

According to the endosymbiotic theory the organelles like mitochondria and chloroplast in the eukaryotic cells have arisen from aerobic bacteria. The aerobic bacteria being prokaryotic cell was consumed by the anaerobic bacteria or prokaryotic cell.

The following are the evidences of the origin of eukaryotic organisms from prokaryotic organisms:

1. The chloroplast and mitochondria have circular DNA like bacteria.

2. The mitochondria and chloroplast reproduce through binary fission which also occurs in bacteria.

b. wildfires

b. magnified the greenhouse effect

The first blank is pretty simple; if lightning (electricity) strikes something flammable, like a forest, a fire is sure to ensue. This fire will obviously spread to the other trees and cause a massive wildfire.

The second blank is the greenhouse effect. The greenhouse effect is said to have caused our warming climate, which makes sense because heat from the sun gets trapped in our global "greenhouse", or the lower atmosphere. Lower atmosphere is key here because a large event like a massive wildfire can add some more heat to the atmosphere and contribute to this effect. A wildfire may seem like a minor event on a global scale, but it will do more damage to the atmosphere than you think!
