Marginal benefit is the value consumers are willing to give up in order to get one more unit of a good or a product, while marginal cost refers to the value of what is given up in order to produce that additional unit of a good.
When marginal benefit exceeds marginal cost, it would be efficient for manufacturers to produce goods more goods. If additional units of good will be produced and sold in the market, the price of good will be lower.
As a consequence, consumers tend to buy more of the same product.
