The given set of data is

80, 90, 10, 75, 90, 95, 99

As we know , Mean is defined as the sum of the given numbers divide by the total number of numbers.

Hence we can write

Mean=\frac{80+90+10+75+90+95+99}{7}\\ \\ \text{here total number of numbers=7}\\ \\ Mean= \frac{539}{7}= 77\\ \\ \text{Hence the mean of the given set of data is }77\\ \\ \text{Now to find the median of the given set of data , rearrange the numbers}\\ \text{ in descending order}\\ \\ 99,95,90,90,80,75,10\\ \\ \text{If the total number of number is odd, in this case 7, then the median is the }\\ \text{number in middle.}\\ \\ \text{Hence the median of the given set of data is }90\\

As the mean gets affected with the extreme values so median is the best representation of the centre.

Hence its median.

F(x) = -5x
f(-3) = -5(-3)
f(-3) = 15

g(x) = 2x - 1
g(4) = 2(4) - 1
g(4) = 8 - 1
g(4) = 7

Answers:
f(-3) = 15

If a b and c are three different numbers which of the following equations has exactly one solution?
Mrrafil [7]

Option B is correct.

Step-by-step explanation:

We need to identify which of the following equations has exactly one solution.

We will solve each equation to find the answer

A. ax+b=ax+b

Solving and finding value of x:

ax+b=ax+b\\ax-ax=b-b\\0=0

This equation has infinite number of solutions because both sides are equal to 0

B. ax=bx+c

Solving and finding value of x:

ax=bx+c\\ax-bx=c\\x(a-b)=c\\x=\frac{c}{a-b}

This equation has exactly one solution

C. ax+b=ax+c

ax+b=ax+c\\ax-ax=c-b\\0=c-b

This equation has no solution because both sides are not equal.

So, Option B is correct.
