The people of the Fertile Crescent were quite lucky in that they inhabited an area that was rich with soil and therefore able to grow plants and feed animals. Therefore they adopted by farming and cultivating the land.

This means that two-third of American women leave their house and children to work. The fact that more women are working brought an increase in the demand of services related to housework such as cleaning and child care.
