Since he brought $36.75 to the fair and bought 3 tickets after he arrived the question should be considered incomplete due to $36.75 not being the total cost of the 3 tickets. for example the equation should be final value (F)should be set equal to $36.75 minus the cost of the tickets(3T) or more simply F=$36.75-3T.

Let, the price of Each ticket = x
Amount of 3 tickets = 3x

Initial money = 36.75
Spend money = 3x

So, Final Amount = 36.75 - 3x

In short, Your Answer would be 36.75 - 3x

Hope this helps!

Kevin is currently twice as old as his brother. If Kevin was eight years old two years ago, how old is Kevin's brother now?
9966 [12]
So first you add 8 and 2 to get 10. This means that Kevin is 10 years old now. If he is currently twice as old as his brother it means that you divide 10 by 2 to get 5. Kevin's brother is 5 years old.

Jayden and Sheridan both tried to find the missing side of the right triangle. A right triangle is shown. One leg is labeled as
stellarik [79]

Answer:

Sheridan's Work is correct

Step-by-step explanation:

we know that

The lengths side of a right triangle must satisfy the Pythagoras Theorem

c^{2}=a^{2}+b^{2}

where

a and b are the legs

c is the hypotenuse (the greater side)

In this problem

Let

a=7\ cm\\c=13\ cm

substitute

13^{2}=7^{2}+b^{2}

Solve for b

169=49+b^{2}

b^{2}=169-49

b^{2}=120

b=\sqrt{120}\ cm

b=10.95\ cm

we have that

<em>Jayden's Work</em>

a^{2}+b^{2}=c^{2}

a=7\ cm\\b=13\ cm

substitute and solve for c

7^{2}+13^{2}=c^{2}

49+169=c^{2}

218=c^{2}

c=\sqrt{218}\ cm

c=14.76\ cm

Jayden's Work is incorrect, because the missing side is not the hypotenuse of the right triangle

<em>Sheridan's Work</em>

a^{2}+b^{2}=c^{2}

a=7\ cm\\c=13\ cm

substitute

7^{2}+b^{2}=13^{2}

Solve for b

49+b^{2}=169

b^{2}=169-49

b^{2}=120

b=\sqrt{120}\ cm

b=10.95\ cm

therefore

Sheridan's Work is correct

What is the volume of a hemisphere with a radius of 9.8 in, rounded to the nearest tenth of a cubic inch?
pogonyaev

Answer:

the volume of the hemisphere is 1970.2 cubic inches.

Step-by-step explanation:

The given is,

                  Radius of hemisphere is 9.8 inches.

Step:1

                 Formula of volume of hemisphere is,

                             ..................(1)

                 Where,

                           r - Radius of hemisphere

Step:2

                 From the given,

                          r = 9.8 inches

                 Equation (1) becomes,

                                                 =

                                                 =

                                                 = (0.66666666)(3.1415)(942.192)

                                                 = 1971.23

          Volume of hemisphere = 1971.23 cubic inches

Result:is 1970.2 cubic inches.
