What is the solution if the inequality shown below? a+2<-10
daser333 [38]

Answer:

a < -12

Step-by-step explanation:

Isolate the variable, a. Treat the < as a equal sign, what you do to one side, you do to the other. Subtract 2 from both sides:

a + 2 < -10

a + 2 (-2) < -10 (-2)

Simplify:

a < -10 - 2

a < -12

a < -12 is your answer.

Evaluate. 102+6⋅7+8 70142150190
Aloiza [94]
Hi.

102+6(7)+8 (your equation)
102+ 42+ 8 (since the order is PEMDAS, multiplication has to go first. 6x7=42
144 + 8 (since you go left to right, 102 +42 has to be 1st. Answer= 144)
152 (now the only thing left is 144 + 8, so do that. Answer= 152.)

Since that's the last step, 152 will be your answer.

Hoped I helped and if you need anymore you could always ask me~

Can anyone help me out on this question?
svp [43]

Firstly , we will check continuity at x=1

we can use method

Suppose, f(x) is continuous at x=c

then it must satisfy

\lim_{x \to c} f(x)=f(c)

\lim_{x \to 1} f(x)=f(1)

firstly , we can find limit

\lim_{x \to 1-} f(x)= \lim_{x \to 1-}(x+3)=1+3=4

\lim_{x \to 1+} f(x)= \lim_{x \to 1-}(3x+1)=3*1+1=4

so, we get

\lim_{x \to 1} f(x)= 4

now, we can find f(1)

f(1)=3*1+1=4

so, we got

\lim_{x \to 1} f(x)=f(1) =4

so, this is continuous at x=1

Hence , option-D...........................Answer
