What influenced the art of the Byzantine period?

History

To speak of “Byzantine Art” is a bit problematic, since the Byzantine empire and its art spanned more than a millennium and penetrated geographic regions far from its capital in Constantinople. Thus, Byzantine art includes work created from the fourth century to the fifteenth century and encompassing parts of the Italian peninsula, the eastern edge of the Slavic world, the Middle East, and North Africa.
So Judaism is what influenced the art of the Byzantine period

how did the concept of mercantilism influence the spread of new foods, plants, and animals around the world
Nina [5.8K]

Answer: Countries attempted to sell more than they bought. As a consequence, new foods, plants, and animals appeared on different markets all around the world.

Explanation:

Mercantilism is a country's policy to export more than it imports so as to bring prosperity and increase stores of gold and metals.

Mercantilism was very popular in Europe in the 16th century. Back then, wealth of a country largely depended on the amount of gold, silver and metals that it possessed. Countries attempted to establish a favorable balance of trade, which means that more goods are exported than imported. This resulted in a massive exchange of goods. For example, England forced their colonies to produce raw goods which were then shipped to Europe.

What was scientific racism
patriot [66]

Answer:

Since enslaved people were first brought to the US, promoters of anti-Black racism and white supremacy co-opted the authority of science to justify racial inequality. A history of pseudoscientific methods “proving” white biological superiority and flawed social studies used to show “inherent” racial characteristics still influence society today.

This was not unique to the US, however. Examples of scientific racism can also be found in NAZI Germany prior to and during WWII, during which time German scientists produced literature ranking the various races of the world, with Arians at the top and Jews and Blacks at the bottom.
