After dating for only 2 months, Joel and Natalie broke up. They were unhappy together because Joel had always wanted to run off
larisa [96]

Optimal level of arousal is the correct answer.

Each person has a different level of arousal and this level is perfect for them. In order to maintain this level, people will seek for activities that promote their own stimulation. In this case, Joel got his arousal elevated when he went out partying/clubbing, while Natalie was happier when she was able to stay home and read her mystery novels. Thus, their relationship was unlikely to succeed since their optimal arousal level was out of sync.

A(n) _____ reinforcer is a stimulus added to the environment, like getting paid to work, that specifically brings about an incre
schepotkina [342]

Positive reinforcer

When I took psychology I had trouble remembering positive and negative reinforcer, so I'll just give you a quick explanation in case you needed it

I remember that positive reinforcer means you add or give something to encourage a behavior or whatever. That one is pretty easy to remember, but if you are learning about positive reinforcement I can assume that you are also learning about negative reinforcement and punishment. I would always get confused with negative reinforcement and punishment. They kind of sound like they should mean the same thing. In fact they don't! Negative reinforcer means something is taken away to encourage a behavior. This was an example that my psych teacher would give us if we were confused: if a mouse is part of an experiment that it will be continually shocked until it clicks a button. Once the mouse clicks the button the shock is TAKEN AWAY, therefore being negative reinforcement. Punishment is when something is done to try and stop a behavior

Hope this helped and made sense!

Country X holds regular elections for a legislature, though most of its citizens have little faith in the validity of the result
elena-s [515]

Answer:

Correct Answer:

d. illiberal regime

Explanation:

In the case of Country X, it could be classified to fall into illiberal regime due to the nature of the relationship between the central government, its military and its citizens.

For example, the central government fulfills its duty of holding an election for legislature while at same time limiting the activities of the election like specifying he number of political parties to contest the election. On the other-hand, the military ensures that there would be no dissident voice of oppositions to the activities of the government.

It also ensures that, absolute loyalty is maintained by the citizens towards the government. These actions go ahead to show that, Country X is not running a liberal government for the people but rather an illiberal regime.
