Answer:

If it is on the maximum, then the y-value of the point cannot be any higher and  still be on the graph of the function. If it is on the minimum, the the y-value of the point cannot be any lower and still be on the graph of the function. If it isn't either the maximum or the minimum, it is neither.

There are 42 female performers in a dance recital. The ratio of men to women is 4:7. How many men are in the dance recital?
marusya05 [52]

Answer:

<u>24 </u>

Step-by-step explanation:

The first thing I did was divide 42 by 7 to get the equivilant for 1.

42 ^ 7 = 6

So,

1 = 6

This means that all you have to do to get the amount of men is to multiply 4 by 6.

4 * 6 = 24

So, there are 24 men and 42 females.

find the curved surface area and total surface area of a right circular cylinder whose height is 15 cm and the radius of the bas
otez555 [7]

Answer:

CSA = 660cm^2 --- Curved Surface Area

TSA = 968cm^2  --- Total Surface Area

Step-by-step explanation:

Given

Shape: Cylinder

h = 15 -- height

r = 7 --- radius

Solving (a): The curved surface area (CSA)

This is calculated as:

CSA = 2\pi rh

This gives:

CSA = 2 * \frac{22}{7} * 7 * 15

CSA = 2 * 22* 15

CSA = 660cm^2

Solving (b): The total surface area (TSA)

This is calculated as:

TSA = 2\pi r(h + r)

This gives:

TSA = 2 * \frac{22}{7} * 7 * (15 + 7)

TSA = 2 * 22 * (15 + 7)

TSA = 2 * 22 * 22

TSA = 968cm^2
