Can anyone rewrite this in their own words
Rufina [12.5K]

Answer:

Participating in student government should not be required in High School. There are many extra credit activities that may be a better fit for the student. By forcing them to be involved in it, they loose their right to chose and they wont be given the chance to participate in the activities they want to. If a student wants to be a writer or photographer and to persue this, they want to join yearbook, they wouldn't be able to because of the time involved for being in student government.

Explanation:

hope that helps a bit

Compare and contrast the reasons Lafayette, Mulligan, and Laurens want to take their shots?
atroni [7]

Lafayette wants to overthrow the rule of the monarchy. Mulligan wants social ascension and Laurens wants to achieve abolition in the country.

Within this context what is the "shot"?

 • In the musical "Hamilton" we learn that the "shot" is the chance to do something big in pursuit of achieving your goals.
 • Lafayette, Mulligan, and Laurens were friends of Hamilton, who along with him were fighting in the American Revolution.
 • All had humble origins and in addition to wanting independence from the colonies, they had individual goals, which represented their "shorts".

Their individual desires also brought about important changes in society, which shows the depth and importance of fighting for these desires.
