Twins Carlos and Miguel received bulldog puppies from the same litter for their birthday. Their parents thought they would be le

arning responsibility by caring for the dogs. Both boys fed and played with their dogs every afternoon; they dogs slept by their beds each night. When baseball season started, Carlos had practice five days a week. Although he still took good care of his dog, he was not able to run and play with the dog as much as he had before baseball season. When the dogs went to the vet for a check-up, the vet told the boys that Miguel's dog was in great shape but Carlos' dog had grown a bit too heavy.

The options of the given question are:

A) an obesity gene.

B) a genetic mutation.

C) an inherited condition.

D) an environmental factor.

Answer: An environmental factor.

Explanation:

The factor that is involved in this condition is environmental factor because for dogs it is mandatory to be involved in the physical activities.

The physical activity of dogs involves running, dancing, moving from one place to another.Just because Carlos was busy in the baseball practice activity because of which he was not able to get involved in the physical activity with the dog.

Whereas Miguel's dog was healthy and fit because he was not involved in any other activity and was playing and dancing with the dog.

This was an environmental factor due to which Carlos's dog was a bit heavy.
