Sadly our eldest son, John, died of smallpox, so we had to make a plot for him. That really brought are family together. The wonderful thing about living in Pennsylvania is that we all care for each other which is how I got my barn. Also, our children get a good education which I heard was not that prevalent here in the colonies. Thankfully their is no slavery here because we believe that it is a sin.
