(-3, -2) is the vertex.

You can find this by plugging into -b/2a to find the x value and using the x value to find the y value.

And another spot on the vertex would be (0, 16), which is the y intercept.

Simplifying u(x) = -2 + -2x + 7 Multiply u * x ux = -2 + -2x + 7 Reorder the terms: ux = -2 + 7 + -2x Combine like terms: -2 + 7 = 5 ux = 5 + -2x Solving ux = 5 + -2x Solving for variable 'u'. Move all terms containing u to the left, all other terms to the right. Divide each side by 'x'. u = 5x-1 + -2 Simplifying u = 5x-1 + -2 Reorder the terms: u = -2 + 5x-1

Answer:

1. 50

2. They are congruent

3. They are equidistant

4. No, a chord has endpoints on the edges of a circle while a radius has endpoints on the center of the circle and an edge.

5. Since the chords are not congruent, the lines cannot be congruent.

Step-by-step explanation:

Using Theorem 84, we can find that since CA = BD, the corresponding arcs are congruent. Using this theorem, we can find the answers to the rest of the questions.

To which subset of real numbers does -3 belong?
inessss [21]

Answer: C) integers and rational numbers

Explanation:

The set of integers is {..., -3, -2, -1, 0, 1, 2, 3, ...} basically any number that does not have a decimal or fractional part to it. We can say that this set is composed of positive and negative whole numbers along with 0. So this is why -3 is in the set of integers.

The value -3 is not in the set of whole numbers because the set of whole numbers is {0, 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, ...}, so this rules out choice D.

Choice B is also eliminated because -3 is a rational number. We can write -3 as a fraction of two integers, example: -3 = -3/1. Any rational number is not irrational, and vice versa.

Choice A is ruled out because it's not the most complete answer (though its technically true).
