B. Majority Rule.

The construction of political structures within a nation determines its political ideology and lays down the formation of the structure of society. Majority Rule is one of the most important features within a representative democracy, as democracy suggests, the rule of people. The majority rule necessitates the grant of suffrage or voting rights to common citizens who participate equally in making an informed choice of their representatives, who form the government on their behalf. It also has to be noted that the people rule themselves by vesting legislative powers within institutions and organizations and selecting representatives from among themselves to exercise these powers. The rule of these representatives lasts only till the mandate of people, and countries having representative democracies do not experience violent revolutions that cause the downfall of entire governments; Thus, the transition of power is always accompanied by majority rule.

Further Explanation-

Representative democracy is the most common modern political system that characterizes most of the modern nations throughout the world. Throughout history, we have seen several political systems such as monarchy, oligarchy, tyranny, and authoritarianism. However, as political consciousness began to formulate the will of people within the nation, modern democracies began to take over most of the earlier known political structures Majority rule considers all citizens as power holders and sharers, and thrusts upon them with the responsibility to constitute their administrative institutions. Some of the other significant features include a right to vote, also known as suffrage. This provision entitles all adult citizens of the nation to choose their own representatives. The Constitution of every representative democracy should contain a set of laws that clearly safeguard basic rights that every citizen is entitled to.
