The content of art can also be defined as the essence of an artwork, the original intention the artist had before creating it. In order to analyze the content of art you can ask the following questions:
- What is being depicted in the artwork?
- What was the artist's intent?
- What is the main subject in the artwork?
- What was the artist trying to express in the work?
