Answer:

y=1/4+1

The y-intercept is 1.

When you plug in the numbers 8 and 3 in the correct spots from the equation, you should be able to get 3=3, which is true.

I first got this equation by starting out with y=1/4x

I then plugged in 8 in x and multiplied it with 1/4, getting the answer of 2.

What plus 2 equals 3? That answer is 1. So, y=1/4x+1

Hope I helped!

Gwar [14]

Answer:

The slope is 2

Step-by-step explanation:

To find the slope given two points, we use the formula

m = (y2-y1)/(x2-x1)

   = (-4--2)/(2-3)

   = (-4+2)/(2-3)

   = -2/-1

   = 2

What is the range pls help me (11points).
Fittoniya [83]

Answer:

2.3 < x < 8.7

Step-by-step explanation:

Look at the picture.

We have a = 5.5, b = x and c = 3.2.

Substitute:

(1)

5.5 + x > 3.2               subtract 5.5 from both sides

x > - 2.3

(2)

5.5 + 3.2 > x

8.7 > x

(3)

x + 3.2 > 5.5              subtract 3.2 from both sides

x > 2.3

From (1), (2) and (3) we have:

2.3 < x < 8.7
