Answer:

The practice by political parties of rewarding partisans and workers after winning an election was called spoils system.

Explanation:

The Spoils system was the practice by which the winning party appointed its own representatives, often working in the election campaign, for each of the key civilian positions.

In 1883, two years after the assassination of President James Garfield by a man unsuccessfully seeking diplomatic appointment, Congress passed the Civil Service Act, known as the Pendleton Act, which effectively “abolished” the spoils system and made the merit system a common practice.

How can the presence or absence of natural resources and arable land affect a nation’s economy?
Xelga [282]
The economy is strong if the country exports a lot: it then gets money from other countries. If a country has natural resources (think: diamonds for example!), it will be rich and have a strong economy.

The economy is weak if the country has to import stuff and spend money on it! especially if it's the necessary things: the country has no choice but to import food if they can't produce it, for this reason for example the food items in the north  of Canada are every expensive.

Generally, exporting is good for economy and importing bad for it.

We are talking about Vision System's anatomy. If we think about vision, the first thing that comes to our minds is the eye. We see through the eye. The cornea is an important component of the vision because the light comes in and the cornea transmits it through the pupil. The cornea serves as a transparent barrier to protect the inner eye from the external elements.
