It is not reasonable, because if we estimate by rounding each factor and multiplying the result. It would be higher than 53,253

<h3>Further explanation</h3>

When we estimate a calculation we can rounding each factor. In this case would be:

1,729 rounding to 2000

308 rounding to 300

2000 x 300 = 600,000

which is higher than 53,253. So if we multipy the exact number the result would be higher.

to get the precise result, we can use the area model

=\boxed {1729 \times308\ }\\ =\boxed{(1000+7000+20+9) \times(300+8)\ }

=\boxed{\(300000+210000+6000+2700+8000+5600+160+72)\ }\\ =\boxed {532532\ }

Nope if you round the first number to 2000 and the second to 300 you should expect around 600000 which is not the case.

Hello,

Part A:

f(x)=4x^2+8x-5\\=4(x^2+2x)-5\\=4(x^2+2x+1-1)-5\\=4(x+1)^2-9\\=(2(x+1)-3)(2(x+1)+3)\\=(2x-1)(2x+5)\\x-intercepts\ are\ x=\frac{1}{2} \ and\ x=-\frac{5}{2} \\

Part B:

x² coefficient is 4 >0 thus a minimun

as y=4(x+1)²-9 : vertex is (-1,-9)

Proof: see picture

Sorry for Part c: I don't know

In France, we make an array of (x,f(x)) and then plot the severals points.

Solve the equation 1/4a=3
Tanzania [10]

Answer:

a= 12

Step-by-step explanation:

(1/4)*a = 3 // - 3

(1/4)*a-3 = 0

1/4*a-3 = 0 // + 3

1/4*a = 3 // : 1/4

a = 3/1/4

a = 12

Solve for x.5(2x - 4) = 45
jok3333 [9.3K]
5(2x - 4) = 45
5(2x) - 5(4) = 45
10x - 20 = 45
10x = 45 + 20
10x = 65
x = 65/10
x = 13/ 2
Thus, x is equal to 13/2
