What is not a primary source

History

A primary source would be an account from someone who was there, so a nonprimary source would be an account from someone who was told what happened by somebody else. For example, if a friend of mine saw a car crash and then told me about it, he would be a primary source, but if I went and told somebody I would be a secondary source.
