The polygons are regular polygons. Find the area of the shaded region.
Serga [27]
Polygon area = [circumradius^2 * # sides * sine (360/# sides)] / 2
small hexagon area =[5^2 * 6 * sine (60)] / 2
small hexagon area =[25 * 6 * 0.86603] / 2

Solve the equation 4(x + 2)= 6x + 4
SIZIF [17.4K]

The answer is x=2

show you step-by-step

step 1:simplify both sides of the equation.

(4)(x)+(4)(2)=6x+4

4x+8=6x+4

step 2:subtract 6x from both sides.

4x+8-6x=6x+4-6x

-2x+8=4

step 3: subtract 8 from both sides

-2x+8-8=4-8

-2x=-4

step 4: divide both sides by -2

-2x/-2= -4/-2

x=2

that helps you

An automotive manufacturer has developed a new type of tire that the research team believes to increase fuel efficiency. the man
bezimeni [28]

Answer:

3) One-sided,compare two populations

Step-by-step explanation:

A manufacturer wants to investigate the whether there is an increase in the mean gas mileage of mid-sized sedan having new type of tire compared to mean gas mileage of mid-sized sedan not having new type of tire.

So, there are two populations :

population 1 : mid-sized sedan having new type of tire.

population 2 : mid-sized sedan not having new type of tire.

So, two populations are being compared.

Also, A manufacturer is investigating whether there is an increase in mean gas mileage. The alternative hypothesis will be right tailed and so, this corresponds to one sided test.
