Answer:

Correct answer is: b.false

Explanation:

Born in 1254 , Marco Polo was a Venetian merchant known for travelling along his father and uncle to China trough the Silk Route and later Writing the famous "Travels of Marco Polo" which is a text where he described the countries and his whole journey to the World, This book became so famous and important at that time that it is said Christopher Colombus used as guide to exploring the World.

In his book he described how he traveled from Italy to Pekin, passing trough the Fertile Crescent and reaching China, the nature of this trip has many inconsistencies like the time it took to travel, the directions and miscalculation he made, also the exaggerated descriptions of the countries and places could let us think he wrote based on histories of merchants he encountered trough his journey. For example, it's probable he didn't reach Japan, but is the first European to write about japan, describing it as the "land of gold" he probably based this description on the things he heard about japan from sailors he met along the way.
