Answer:

Many jacks and elevators rely on hydraulic power to lift vehicles.

Explanation:

The hydraulic jack, as well as the hydraulic lift, is a tool that acts as a lever capable of suspending heavy objects. In this sense, it is used to lift a part of the vehicle without the need for it to be completely suspended.

This equipment was created in the 19th century by engineer Richard Dudgeon. Using the Pascal Principle, it basically indicates that any fluid subjected to a specific pressure will expand in all directions until it reaches the container in which it is stored.

Using this principle the hydraulic lift (or hydraulic jack) basically works by a hydraulic unit driven by an electric motor, where this unit generates the force and expansion of the fluids that perform the movement of the hydraulic cylinders raising the lift load.

What was Thomas Jefferson's true stance on slavery and African Americans?
3241004551 [841]

Answer:

In 1784, he proposed an ordinance that would ban slavery in the Northwest territories.7 But Jefferson always maintained that the decision to emancipate slaves would have to be part of a democratic process; abolition would be stymied until slaveowners consented to free their human property together in a large-scale act of emancipation. To Jefferson, it was anti-democratic and contrary to the principles of the American Revolution for the federal government to enact abolition or for only a few planters to free their slaves.
