Answer:

94 - 82 = 12

Step-by-step explanation:

Ok! Let's try and understand tye concept.

In a box and whisker plot, every vertical line in the box has a unique meaning. There are usually five vertical lines.

1st : LOWEST VALUE

2nd : LOWER QUARTILE

3rd: MEDIAN-

The Middle line is the MEDIAN. What it means is, the exact point where the vertical line intersects with the calibrated horizontal line, that point indicates the MEDIAN

4th: UPPER QUARTILE

5th : HIGHEST VALUE.

THE RANGE is calculated by subtracting the lowest value from the highest value.

That is: from the whisker point on the question-

HIGHEST VALUE = 94

LOWEST VALUE = 82

RANGE = 94 - 82 = 12

Combine like terms 7a - a+ 16 = ?
dexar [7]
6a+16

Explanation:
If there's just a variable, there's an understood 1 in front of it. So what that really says is:

7a-1a+16

So, you combine the a's. 7a minus 1a is 6a. Same as 7-1,but you have a variable stuck on the end of it.

6a+16

How do you work out 5/6y-2=8
aliya0001 [1]
5/6y-2=8
       +2  +2
Add the reciprocal to cancel out the twos andd 8+2=10
so you have left 5/6y=10 and you'll take the reciprocal of 5 divided by 6 times five and cancels the 5/ out and also multiply 10*5 and you're left with 6y=50 then you just divide by six and there you go you have y=12

hope this helped

Part A: Clancey and Ethan are starting new books. So far, Clancey has read 1/4 of his book, which has 240 total pages and Ethan
Nonamiya [84]

In order to find who has read more pages, let's find the number of pages read by each one.

The number of pages read by Clancey is:

\frac{1}{4}\cdot240=\frac{240}{4}=60

The number of pages read by Ethan is:

\frac{2}{5}\cdot170=\frac{340}{5}=68

So Ethan read more pages.

The combined number of pages in both books is 240 + 170 = 410.

The combined number of pages read is 60 + 68 = 128

So the fraction is:

\frac{128}{410}=\frac{64}{205}

Please help! An archway will be constructed over a walkway. A piece of wood will need to be curved to match a parabola. Explain
Gwar [14]

draw a perpendicular line from the directrix passing through the focus, this will be the line of symmetry. The vertex(h, k) will be located on the line half way between the focus and directrix. The distance from the focus to the vertex is called the focal length, call it a. The then equation is (x - h)^2 = 4a(y - k) the equation can be manipulated to y = 1/4a(x - h)^2 + k hope it helps
