Absolutely. Studies and research help in understanding other cultures, accepting the difference, while minimizing ethnocentrism. It also showcases how different cultures may actually share similarities. It supports acceptance as the goal of humanities is to highlight differences without expressing preference for any. (no one culture is better than another - they are just different), Nonetheless, it aids in make people understand why a group of people own certain value (e.g.; by looking at their history).
