Answer:

Nucleic acids are polynucleotides. Which are long chainlike molecules composed of a series of nearly identical building blocks, these building blocks are called nucleotides. Each nucleotide consists of a nitrogen-containing aromatic base attached to a pentose (five-carbon) sugar, which is in turn attached to a phosphate group. There you go, I had a vocab paper of this from my science class.

Hypothesize on why you think larger populations would tend to have more variation in phenotypes than smaller populations
abruzzese [7]

Phenotype = Observable/Physical characteristics.

Simple because there would be a larger gene pool, more opportunity for variation than a small population which has less of a gene pool and therefore less opportunity for variation.

  • The plants comprised of photosynthetic and non-photosynthetic species.
  • Fungi, that feed on dead organic matter, were placed under photosynthetic plants.
  • There was another class of classification needed were the organisms with the same characteristics were clubbed into one kingdom.
  • This system did not distinguish between the eukaryotes and prokaryotes, unicellular and multicellular organisms and photosynthetic (green algae) and non-photosynthetic (fungi) organisms.
  • There are some organisms which neither fall into plant nor animal kingdom like Lichens.
