Effect of Colonial Rule in Africa. Negative effects. The Africans<em><u> lost their political independence</u></em>. Some traditional political institutions were destroyed and replaced with foreign ones. Foreign culture was imposed on Africans without regard for their own culture. This led to the loss of the African culture.
Colonisation removed people from people from their land and made them landless. it inferfied with people's economic systems and foreign systems were forced down their throats.
The Chinese who came to America in the late nineteenth century were mainly poor peasants and workers who had to struggle to survive in the destitute circumstances of their times.
