What happens to the kinetic energy of a snowball as it rolls across the lawn and gains mass.
Lunna [17]
Kinetic energy of a snowball will increase as it rolls across the lawn and gains mass. We already know that Kinetic energy is directly proportional to speed. We can express kinetic energy by the formula
Kinetic energy = 1/2 mv^2
Now as the mass increases and the velocity remains constant, the kinetic energy of the snowball is bound to increase. I hope the explanation has helped you.

How is a land breeze similar to a sea breeze? How do the differ?
Pavel [41]
Sea breezes and land breezes are similar in that they are both created by changes in temperature near the ground. With a sea breeze, the air over land warms (during daytime), pressure drops, and air accelerates from sea to land in response. With a land breeze, the air over land cools (during nighttime), pressure rises, and air accelerates from land to sea in response.

What structures are found in plant cells that are not found in animal cells?
solong [7]

There are three major structures that are found in plant cells that aren't found in animal cells. These are chloroplasts, (which is where the process photosynthesis takes place), a cell wall (which keeps the structure of the cell), and a large central vacuole, (which stores extra food/water). Don't make the mistake, though. Animal cells have vacuoles, but they are just smaller and not as important, because they have a different way of excreting waste, which plant cells cannot do.

For a science fair project, two students decided to repeat the Hershey and Chase experiment, with modifications. They decided to
Reptile [31]

Answer: E. Amino acids (and thus proteins) also have nitrogen atoms; thus, the radioactivity would not distinguish between DNA and proteins.

Explanation:

The Hershey-Chase experiment, is an experiment that demonstrated that the genetic material of phage isn't protein but rather it's DNA.

Based on the information given in the question, the experiment will not work because amino acids (and thus proteins) also have nitrogen atoms; thus, the radioactivity would not distinguish between DNA and proteins.

Therefore, the correct option is E.
