Answer:

Austria played a major part in stabilizing Europe by taking care of the land and taking prompt action to prevent the Ottoman Turks from advancing as they came out in battle against the Ottoman Turks in 1699 and defeated them a that time.

Although, they looked too small or unimportant to be worth consideration in times of the impact they could have when comparing them at that time period of great empires, Austria wonderfully gave a great input when they stopped, faced, and fought the Turkish advances into Europe, as the Austria won the battle, pushing them out of the Balkans.

Identify regions where the English, French, and Dutch explored and established settlements. What specific issues did each face?
dimulka [17.4K]

The correct answer to this open question is the following.

Identify regions where the English, French, and Dutch explored and established settlements.

The French established settlements mostly in the region that today is Canada. We are talking of settlements like Acadia, Newfoundland, or St. Lawrence River.  However, with the pass of time, some French settlements expanded to the region known as the Great Lakes.

In the case of the Dutch, they basically settled the territory of what today is Manhattan, in New York, around the Hudson Bay, and along the River up to Albany.

The English were the first to arrive at the North American territory and first founded the colony of Jamestown, Virginia, and then the Plymouth colony, the Massachusetts Bay colony, and many others along the Northeastern coast.

The specific issues that each faced were basically dealing with the Native American Indian tribes that already existed in North America and claimed it as its territory for obvious reasons.

The French had a better relationship with the Indians because they were mostly interested in the fur trade to make good profits. However, in the case of the English colonists, they wanted to settle more and more land to exploit the raw materials to make a profit, and this caused major conflicts and wars against the Native American Indian tribes.

How successful was the Japanese attack on Pearl Harbor? Did they accomplish the objectives they set out to accomplish? Explain w
sesenic [268]
The Japanese attacked Pearl Harbor for the main reason of tension in the Pacific. The Americans weren't necessarily in the conflict at this point, but were sitting in the Pacific watching the Japanese, if the Japanese were to grow in power, they can't have the Americans on their tail. The attack counterattacked the Japanese if you really look at it. Most people would relate the Pearl Harbor attacks as "poking the sleeping bear with a stick", and that's true. We turned the fighting back to the Japanese in the months after the attack. And four long years later, we dropped the "Little Boy" atomic bomb on island town of Hiroshima -- And the second bomb called "Fat Man" on Nagasaki 3 days later. The Japanese surrendered less than a month after the bombings. So, the attacks of Pearl Harbor really hurt the Japanese more than it hurt the Americans.

Why did Robert E Lee chose to fight for the Confederates instead of for Lincoln?
Archy [21]

This i do not know sadly but i did some research for you and google says and i quote

"When Virginia declared its secession from the Union in April 1861, Lee chose to follow his home state, despite his desire for the country to remain intact and an offer of a senior Union command. During the first year of the Civil War, Lee served as a senior military adviser to Confederate President Jefferson Davis".
