Answer: she jogs 2.75 miles.

She walks 2.25 miles

Step-by-step explanation:

Let x represent the distance that she jogs. If she walks and jogs a total of 5 miles, then the distance that she walks is (5 - x) miles.

When she jogs, she averages 5 miles/hour.

Time = distance/speed

The time that she spent jogging is

x/5

When she walks, she averages 3 miles per hour. The time that she spent walking is

(5 - x)/3

Since the total time that she spent jogging and walking is 1.3 hours, it means that

x/5 + (5 - x)/3 = 1.3

Cross multiplying by 15, it becomes

3x + 5(5 - x) = 1.3 × 15

3x + 25 - 5x = 19.5

5x - 3x = 25 - 19.5

2x = 5.5

x = 5.5/2

x = 2.75 miles

The distance that she walks is

5 - 2.75 = 2.25 miles

A polling organization announces that the proportion of American voters who favor congressional term limits is 64%, with a 95% c
EastWind [94]

Answer:

Hence when C.I. is 80% then Margin of error will be 1.9591%

Step-by-step explanation:

Given:

1st Margin of error(MOE)=3%

1st C.I.=95%

2nd C.I.=80%

To Find:

MOE at 80%

Solution:

The proportion is 64 % i.e. is constant for both MOE

Proportion is given by (P),

P=x/n

Where x= favors congressional terms

n= total voters or sampled voters.

There values are same or constant.

i.e standard deviation is also constant

Now Formula for MOE is given by

MOE=Z*[Standard devation/Sqrt(n)]

here Z is value for confidence interval

MOE is directly proportional to the Z-value

So

MOE=K*Z-value         ... where k is proportionality constant.

MOE/Z-value              ....ratio is constant

So , for 95 % Z=1.96 and for 80% Z=1.28

MOE(1st)/(Z-value 1st)=MOE(2nd)/(Z-value 2nd)

3/1.96=MOE(2nd)/1.28

MOE(2nd)=(3/1.96)*1.28

MOE(2nd)=1.5306*1.28

=1.9591 %

Express p/q form of 10.03636......
Crank

Let's assume x= 10.03636........ (1)

Multiply each sides by 100. So,

100x = 1003.63636.......... (2)

Next step is to subtract the equation (1) and (2)

100x - x= 1003.63636- 10.03636

99x= 993.6

99x*10 = 993.6 (By multiplying each sides by 10 to get rid of decimal)

990x = 9936

990x/990 = 9936/990 ( Divide each sides by 990)

x= \frac{9936/18}{990/18} ( Divide both top and bottom to reduce)

x = \frac{552}{55}

So, 10.03636...... can be represent as 552/55.
