Why can't more than one sperm enter an egg?
Y_Kistochka [10]
Only one sperm normally fuses with an egg because if more than one sperm fuses, through a process called polyspermy, development of the zygote usually stops.

Fertilization of one egg by two sperm is possible, but the resulting zygote is almost never viable because such a zygote would have three sets of chromosomes instead of the normal two. This condition, called triploidy, is usually incompatible with life. Those rare triploid infants that do survive to term have severe and multiple birth defects and rarely live more than a few days.

Owl butterflies feed on mostly fruit, and owls feed on small animals. The images show an owl butterfly and an owl. How does the
Olegator [25]

Answer:

The adaptation in owl butterfly helps it to camouflage and also protects it from predators. Adaptations allow organisms to be better suited to their environment. So the answer is both 'A' and 'B' .

Explanation:

Owl butterfly use the concept of mimicry. It is a form of adaptation in which they fool the predator in thinking that they are owls and not butterflies. These butterflies have eyespots under their wings. By flashing them they look like the eyes of an owl.

Since owls feed on small animals, and small animals feed on butterflies, the owl butterflies protect themselves from predators. The small animals thinking that the butterfly is an owl, run away instead of coming closer. This way these small insects camouflage and protect themselves.
