Answer:

Friedrich Wilhelm Enzmann (born January 27, 1802 in Großpöhla , † February 13, 1866 in Dresden ) was a German businessman .

He was, together with his brother Carl Heinrich Enzmann, the founder of the production of photographic apparatus in Germany, probably even outside of France . After his first advertisement in the Dresdner Stadtanzeiger, October 31, 1839 is the birthday of the Dresden photo industry. With the introduction of photographic mounting plates in the sizes 3, 4 and 6 square inches, he was able to significantly reduce his apparatus compared to those of the French competitor Louis Daguerre . His grave is located on the Old Annen Cemetery in Dresden.
