It affected the society because Martin Luther King was a very good leader who wasn't afraid of advocating for human rights, especially Black people human rights. When he got killed, that affected the society because people feared that if they advocated for people rights, they would get shot and killed just as MLK did.

Just to be clear, the large farmer leases some of his land on speculation to a smaller farmer in return for part of the potential profits after harvest. If it's a good crop, both do OK.
