When you plot these points you can see that the curve starts out high at a y value of 91, and as the x values grow slowly, by increments of 1, the y values drop rapidly.  It resembles a downward curve.  By that I could tell that it wasn't linear because it definitely wasn't a straight line; it wasn't either one  of those quadratics because long story short the vertices don't match the graph.  Therefore, by elimination I chose and then tested the exponential function.  For the first couple of points (0, 91) and (1, 70), y=91(.77)^0.  Anything raised to a power of 0 is 1 and 91*1=91.  For the second point, y=91(.77)^1 and 91*.77 = 70.07.  Therefore,  your choice is the second one down.

Find the sum of the first six terms of a geometric series in which a1 = 4 and r = -3: A. 729 B. -729 C. -728 D. 728 plz help
natta225 [31]

Answer:

C

Step-by-step explanation:

The sum to n terms of a geometric sequence is

S_{n} = \frac{a_{1}(r^n-1) }{r-1}

Here a₁ = 4 and r = - 3, thus

S_{6} = \frac{4((-3)^6-1)}{-3-1}

    = \frac{4(729-1)}{-4} = - (729 - 1) = - 728 → C

What is the perimeter of a square which has the same area as a circle with circumference of 4π?
Contact [7]
The circumference of a circle is given by: 2πr, where r is the radius of the circle. Equating 4π, we have 2πr = 4π so the radius of the circle is: r = 4/2 = 2. Then, the area of the circle is given by πr ^ 2 = π * (2 ^ 2) = 4π.Since the square and the circle have the same area, then: Let L be the side of the square, we have:  L ^ 2 = 4π, clearing L = 2 * (π ^ (1/2))The perimeter of a square is the sum of its sides:  P = L + L + L + L = 2 * (π ^ (1/2)) + 2 * (π ^ (1/2)) + 2 * (π ^ (1/2)) + 2 * (π) ^ (1/2))  P = 8 * (π ^ (1/2))
