The Senate is usually considered to be the more elite of the two houses of Congress, The House of representative members represent individual congressional districts within particular states. The  House has several exclusive powers: the power to initiate revenue bills, and to elect the President in case there is no majority of Colleges. The Senate is composed of two senators from each state who are granted exclusive powers to confirm appointments and place holds on laws.
