The Roman Republic was shockingly dishonest and ineffectual at the heart of all, and the Roman people did not trust the republican leaders. Furthermore, a development in Christianity was also contributed while shying away from the roman polytheistic religious traditions. Ultimately, it was incredibly hard to rule at the fringes because of the sheer size of the Republic, and the Roman Empire wasted too much time improving its military power.
