Answer: c: broad compound leaves attached at single points on the branch

d: needle like compound leaves attached staggered on the branch

The name buckeye received is from the resemblance of leaves to nutlike seed, which has a pale patch on a red surface, looks like the eyes of the deer. Buck eyed tree species are deciduous. They have opposite leaves that are palmately compound, which means the leaflets radiates from a single point, leaves gets staggered or separated on a branch. The leaves are needle shaped at the ends and they are broad in structure in the middle.

A substance floats if it is less dense, or has less mass per unit volume, than other components in a mixture. For example, if you toss a handful of rocks into a bucket of water, the rocks, which are dense compared to the water, will sink. The water, which is less dense than the rocks, will float. Basically, the rocks push the water out of the way or displace it. For an object to be able to float, it has to displace a weight of fluid equal to its own weight.

Water reaches its maximum density at 4 C (40 F). As it cools further and freezes into ice, it actually becomes less dense. On the other hand, most substances are most dense in their solid (frozen) state than in their liquid state. Water is different because of hydrogen bonding.

Determine the density of an object with a volume of 973cm^3 and a mass of 385g
Helga [31]

Answer:

.396 g/cm³

Explanation:

To find density, it is mass/volume

since the mass is 385 and the volume is 973, divide the two

385cm³/973g

This will give you .396 g/cm³
