Answer:

8 minutes.

Step-by-step explanation:

So the first cycle is 3 up and 2 back  therefore in 1 minute he has climbed just 1 step. Then he  will climb to step 4 and drop back to step 2  (2 minutes)

then to 5 back to 3, (3 mins)  6 back to 4 (4 mins) , 7 back to 5 (5 mins) , 8 back to 6 (6 mins), 9 back to 7 ( 7 mins). But after climbing the last 3 he is on the top so will not slip back, so that will be a total of 8 minutes.

One week, the music store sold 2 trumpets, 3 clarinets, and 5 violins for $1240. the next week, they sold 3 trumpets, 1 clarinet
Bond [772]
Trumpet = $174  Clarinet = $149  Violin = $89    Let's write some equations to express what we know.  2t + 3c + 5v = 1240  3t + 1c + 4v = 1027  5t + 7c + 2v = 2091    So we have 3 unknowns and 3 equations. The 2t and 3t are rather interesting in the 1st 2 equations since the 3rd equation has 5t. So if we subtract the 1st and 2nd equations, we can cancel out the t values. So   5t + 7c + 2v = 2091  -( 3t + 1c + 4v = 1027)  = 2t + 6c - 2v = 1064  -(2t + 3c + 5v = 1240)  = 3c - 7v = -176    Now we can express c in terms of v.  3c - 7v = -176  3c = 7v - 176  c = (7/3)v - 58 2/3    Substitute the expression (7/3)v - 58 2/3 for c in the expression 2t + 3c + 5v = 1240 giving  2t + 3((7/3)v - 58 2/3) + 5v = 1240    and solve for t, first distribute the 3  2t + 7v - 176 + 5v = 1240    Merge the v terms  2t + 12v - 176 = 1240    Add 176 to both sides  2t + 12v = 1240 + 176 = 1416    Subtract 12 v from both sides  2t = 1416 - 12v    Divide both sides by 2  t = 708 - 6v    Now substitute both 708 - 6v for t and (7/3)v - 58 2/3 for c in 3t + 1c + 4v = 1027 and solve for v  3t + 1c + 4v = 1027  3(708 - 6v) + (7/3)v - 58 2/3 + 4v = 1027    Distribute the 3  3(708 - 6v) + (7/3)v - 58 2/3 + 4v = 1027  2124 - 18v + (7/3)v - 58 2/3 + 4v = 1027    Combine terms  2065 1/3 - (11 2/3)v = 1027    Subtract 2065 1/3 from both sides   -(11 2/3)v = 1027 - 2065 1/3 = -1038 1/3    Divide both sides by -11 2/3  v = 89    So we know the violins cost $89 each.  Plugging that value into the formula t = 708 - 6v which we created earlier  t = 708 - 6v  t = 708 - 6 * 89 = 708 - 534 = 174    So we know that a trumpet costs $174  Now plug the price of a violin into the formula c = (7/3)v - 58 2/3 to get the cost of a clarinet.  c = (7/3)v - 58 2/3  c = (7/3)89 - 58 2/3 = 207 2/3 - 58 2/3 = 149    And a clarinet is $149    Let's verify  2t + 3c + 5v = 2*174 + 3*149 + 5*89 = 348 + 447 + 445 = 1240  3t + 1c + 4v = 3*174 + 1*149 + 4*89 = 522 + 149 + 356 = 1027  5t + 7c + 2v = 5*174 + 7*149 + 2*89 = 870 + 1043 + 178 = 2091    All the expressions match what was given, so the prices are  Trumpet = $174  Clarinet = $149  Violin = $89

A right circular cylinder has a surface area of 66π. If the height of the cylinder is 8, find the diameter of the base.
prisoha [69]

Answer:

6

Step-by-step explanation:

h = 8

Surface area = 66π

2πr(r +h) = 66π

2πr(r + 8) = 66π

r(r + 8) =\dfrac{66\pi }{2\pi }

r² + 8r = 33

r² + 8r - 33 = 0

r² + 11r - 3r - 33 = 0

r(r + 11) - 3(r + 11) = 0

(r +11 ) (r - 3) = 0

r - 3 = 0             {Ignore r = -11 as radius will not have negative value}

r = 3

Diameter = 3*2 = 6 units

Wendell is curious how much space Jordan will have inside the doghouse to move around in. What is the volume of the doghouse?
miss Akunina [59]

Answer:

Da answer isssss in the step by step lol *

note: Each length with one mark (I) is 36 inches. Each length with two marks (II) is 18 inches. Each length with three marks (III) is 30 inches. Each end has a height (from the highest point to the lowest point) of 28 inches.

note 2: I might not be right but when I get my work checked ill fix the answer skip to the end for the answer

Step-by-step explanation:

Finding The Volume of The Rectangular Prism

step one: use the images to find the width, height, and length.

the width is 36 in

the height is 18 in

the length is 30 in

step two: multiply the width by height by length aka width*height*length.

So, the volume is 19440 square inches

Finding The Volume Of an Isosceles Triangular Prism

so let us say the slanted lines on the triangular prism are named (a) and the bottom line that completes the forward and back-facing triangle is named (b). (yall probably don't know what I'm talking about lol)

step one: finding the base by using the image the base is the bottom line (b)

base = 36 in

step two: find the height of the base triangle (use your big brain uwu also the height is in found in the images)

height = 10 in

step three: find the depth/height of the triangle (ik is cunfusing ;| )

depth/height = 36 in

step four: now do this confusion formula

(((b*h)/2)*triangle height

((36*10)/2)36 = 6480 square inches

Finishing THEM!!

6480 square inches + 19440 square inches = 25920 square inches.

Answer (25920 square inches)
