Answer:

D

Step-by-step explanation:

Use pythagorean theoram(idk the spelling). Basically a^2+b^=c^2 where a and b are the legs of the triangle and c is the hypotenuse. so if we solve it we get 6^2 + (7/4)^2 = c^2

36  + 3.0625 = c^2

39.0625 = c ^2

then you square root both sides which gives you

6.25 = c

which in fraction form is 6 and a 1/4

the population of linton is 12 timesas great as the population of ellmore.the combined population of both towns is 9,646 people.
Svet_ta [14]
L=lintmorepoplation
e=ellmore population

l is 12 times as e
l=12 times e
l=12e

comeined is 9646
l+e=9646

remember that l=12e so subsitue 12e for l
12e+e=9646
add like terms
13e=9646
divide both sdies by 13
e=742

linton=12e
subsitue
linton=12(742)
linton=8904

linton's population is 8904 peple

Johnny wants to know how many students in his school enjoy watching science programs on TV. He poses this question to all 26 stu
coldgirl [10]
The correct answer would be option D.
No, it is not a valid inference because his classmates do not make up a random sample of the students in the school

The population represents all of the students in the school. Apart from his science class there can be students in arts class, music class, literature class and so on. He used convenience sampling by just surveying the students of his science class. The students in science class are those who are interested in science and related topics so these students will be more inclined towards watching a science program. Thus the survey of Johnny does not yield valid result and his inference is not valid.

Thus, option D is the correct answer.

Please answer this ASAP
valkas [14]

Answer:

x = 2

Step-by-step explanation:

First, let's write out our equation:

2x-4=6-3x

I want to isolate x on one side, so first, I'll add 4 to both sides to remove the -4 from next to 2x:

2x-4+4=6-3x+4\\2x=-3x + 10

Notice that I combined like terms with the -4 and 4 (to get 0) and the 6 and 4 on the right side (to get 10). Next, I'll add 3x to both sides:

2x + 3x = -3x + 3x + 10

And then I'll add like terms:

5x=10

Now, all we have to do is divide both sides by 5:

5x/5=10/5\\x=2

And there's our answer. Hopefully that's helpful! :)
