What part did Enlightenment ideals play in the French Revolution? Supporters of the monarchy embraced the ideals of the Enlighte

nment and convinced the king to follow them. Revolutionaries opposed the ideals of the Enlightenment, which were seen as a means of keeping the king in power. Revolutionaries were motivated by Enlightenment ideals and used them to try to reform French society. Enlightenment ideals came from countries outside of France and therefore played no part in the French Revolution.

James Kent, Excerpt from the Proceedings and Debates of the Convention Assembled for the

Purpose of Amending the Constitution of the State of New York, 1821.

That extreme democratic principle [universal suffrage] . . . has been regarded with terror by the wise

men of every age because, in every European republic, ancient and modern, in which it has been tried,

it has terminated disastrously and been productive of corruption, injustice, violence, and tyranny. . . .

The apprehended danger from the experiment of universal suffrage applied to the whole legislative

department is no dream of the imagination. . . . The tendency of universal suffrage is to jeopardize the

rights of property and the principles of liberty. There is a constant tendency . . . in the poor to covet and

to share the plunder of the rich; in the debtor to relax or avoid the obligation of contracts; in the majority

to tyrannize over the minority and trample down their rights; in the indolent and the profligate to cast

the whole burdens of society upon the industrious and virtuous. . . . We are no longer to remain plain

and simple republics of farmers. . . . We are fast becoming a great nation, with great commerce,

manufactures, population, wealth, luxuries, and with the vices and miseries that they engender.

In 1947, after the independence of India, Jammu and Kashmir, Junagarh and Hyderabad did not sign the instrument of accession wit
xxMikexx [17]

Answer:

kindly check the explanation section.

Explanation:

In order for any nation to be unified, the states has to live and have unity with each other. Without unity, there is no country. This is the case of Jammu and Kashmir, Junagarh and Hyderabad as they did not want to join  India after their independence. The following are the reasons these states did not want to  sign the instrument of accession with India:

=> Religion problem. Religion serve as one of the reason some did not want to join Indian because some people are Hindu while some are Muslims this is the case with Kashmir.

=> The decision of staying in India or in Pakistan for instance we have the Nawab deciding to stay in Pakistan instead of Indian.

Using specific examples, how does federal regulation of the economy benefit the public?
liraira [26]
Oooooo, politics. well, medicine research can take forever and cause the company to charge 100 times the manufacturing amount. subsidies help there but dems like to just put a cap on. people like clean air and water so environmental regs do benefit us. labor laws, your employer can't abuse you. what else, well any time you regulate work or prices or processes that can affect a company and therefore the public. so a lot. but if your talking about the Fed then not a lot. the system works but only sometimes and never efficiently. #goldstandard man, over regulation of money you hurts us. regulation of business just affects out efficiency which lowers the GDP ceiling.
